Kathryn J. Jeffery is an Associate Professor at the University of Stirling and Montpellier University, affiliated with the AMAP laboratory in Montpellier. She has over 25 years’ experience in research and environmental management in Central Africa, particularly Gabon, where she is a key member of the Stirling team working with national partners on the 40-year Stirling–Gabon research programme. She has also played a significant role in supporting the Gabonese government’s engagement with UNFCCC REDD+ and results-based payment mechanisms. With over 70 scientific publications, Kathryn’s research spans a broad scope in tropical ecology, with a focus on applied research that delivers tangible solutions to environmental challenges and informs policy.

Professor Dominick Spracklen

Dom Spracklen explores how the terrestrial biosphere and atmosphere interact—and how those interactions are being reshaped by human activity. He is author of over 200 scientific papers spanning air pollution, climate change, forest fires, deforestation, and ecosystem conservation. Professor Emmanuel Abwe

Emmanuel Abwe is professor of ichthyology at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the School of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU); in Lubumbashi, DRC. He is also Deputy Director in charge of research at the School of Fisheries and Aquaculture at UNILU.
