Cet Observatoire fournira les donn\u00e9es n\u00e9cessaires pour comprendre les impacts de l&rsquo;exploitation foresti\u00e8re, de l&rsquo;agroforesterie et de la d\u00e9gradation des for\u00eats sur le stockage du carbone, la biodiversit\u00e9 et d&rsquo;autres services \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leaders scientifiques et institutions<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Observatoire est codirig\u00e9 par le <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.fr\/citations?user=YC3sPNsAAAAJ&amp;hl=en\">Pr Donald Midoko Iponga<\/a> (CENAREST, Gabon) et la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Lucie-Felicite-Temgoua\">Pr Lucie Temgoua<\/a> (Universit\u00e9 de Dschang, Cameroun), avec le soutien du <a href=\"https:\/\/environment.leeds.ac.uk\/geography\/staff\/1062\/professor-simon-lewis?_gl=1*19ybnla*_gcl_au*NTEzOTgxNzE4LjE3NDUyNDA4NzY.*_ga*MTI5NjI3MjM0NS4xNzM3NDIwNTE5*_ga_SEKE21EBEQ*czE3NDk0NjM3OTckbzE3MyRnMSR0MTc0OTQ2Nzc3MiRqMjYkbDAkaDY0Mjk1MDE4\">Prof Simon Lewis<\/a> (Universit\u00e9 de Leeds, Royaume-Uni). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Observatoire comprend \u00e9galement un(e) doctorant et un(e) \u00e9tudiant(e) en master au CENAREST, un doctorant(e) et deux \u00e9tudiant(e)s en Master \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Dschang, et un(e) doctorant(e) \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Leeds. Pour en savoir plus sur chacun des projets de recherche au sein de l&rsquo;Observatoire de la V\u00e9g\u00e9tation, des Sols et de la Biog\u00e9ochimie, cliquez <a href=\"https:\/\/congobasinscience.net\/fr\/bourses\/liste-de-projets\/?_observatory=vegetation-soil-and-biogeochemistry\">ici<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectifs de recherche<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;objectif principal de cet Observatoire est de collecter et d&rsquo;analyser des donn\u00e9es \u00e0 long terme sur la structure des for\u00eats, la biomasse, la composition des esp\u00e8ces et les caract\u00e9ristiques des sols pour diff\u00e9rents types d&rsquo;utilisation des terres. S&rsquo;appuyant sur le r\u00e9seau AfriTRON de parcelles foresti\u00e8res permanentes d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tabli, l&rsquo;Observatoire \u00e9tend la collecte de donn\u00e9es \u00e0 des types de for\u00eats jusqu&rsquo;ici peu \u00e9chantillonn\u00e9s, notamment les for\u00eats exploit\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re s\u00e9lective et les syst\u00e8mes agroforestiers, fournissant ainsi la premi\u00e8re comparaison syst\u00e9matique des for\u00eats intactes, d\u00e9grad\u00e9es et g\u00e9r\u00e9es de la r\u00e9gion. Des \u00e9quipes de terrain \u00e9tabliront et entretiendront des parcelles de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation normalis\u00e9es dans les quatre pays h\u00f4tes. Celles-ci serviront \u00e0 mesurer la croissance des arbres, la mortalit\u00e9, le recrutement, l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 des esp\u00e8ces, la structure de la canop\u00e9e et les stocks de carbone souterrains. L&rsquo;\u00e9chantillonnage des sols et l&rsquo;analyse biog\u00e9ochimique compl\u00e9teront les donn\u00e9es a\u00e9riennes, permettant de calculer le stockage total de carbone de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me et d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer la dynamique du cycle des nutriments.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Observatoire a trois objectifs principaux :<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><em><em>Quantifier les avantages des diff\u00e9rents types de for\u00eats et d&rsquo;utilisations des terres en termes de carbone, de biodiversit\u00e9 et d&rsquo;hydrologie.<\/em><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><em><em>\u00c9valuer les impacts \u00e0 long terme de l&rsquo;exploitation foresti\u00e8re s\u00e9lective et de l&rsquo;agroforesterie sur la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et la r\u00e9silience des for\u00eats.<\/em><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><em><em>Fournir des donn\u00e9es empiriques pour \u00e9clairer les politiques d&rsquo;utilisation durable des terres, les normes de certification et les m\u00e9canismes de financement du carbone.<\/em><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Liens avec les autres observatoires<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Observatoire de la V\u00e9g\u00e9tation travaillera en \u00e9troite collaboration avec <a href=\"https:\/\/congobasinscience.net\/fr\/projets\/craft\/craft-observatoire-de-lhydrologie-et-de-leau-douce\/\">l&rsquo;Observatoire de l&rsquo;Hydrologie<\/a>, o\u00f9 AfriTRON mettra en place un nouveau syst\u00e8me de surveillance dans les for\u00eats mar\u00e9cageuses de tourbi\u00e8re, et avec <a href=\"https:\/\/congobasinscience.net\/fr\/projets\/craft\/craft-observatoire-de-la-biodiversite\/\">l&rsquo;Observatoire de la biodiversit\u00e9<\/a> afin de comprendre les liens entre l&rsquo;exploitation foresti\u00e8re s\u00e9lective, la certification et la biodiversit\u00e9. La collaboration avec <a href=\"https:\/\/congobasinscience.net\/fr\/projets\/craft\/craft-observatoire-de-loccupation-et-de-lutilisation-du-sol\/\">l&rsquo;Observatoire d&rsquo;Occupation du Sol<\/a> facilitera l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des changements dans la structure des for\u00eats et l&rsquo;\u00e9vapotranspiration, afin de mieux estimer l&rsquo;impact de l&rsquo;exploitation foresti\u00e8re sur les pr\u00e9cipitations r\u00e9gionales. Nous travaillerons avec <a href=\"https:\/\/congobasinscience.net\/fr\/projets\/craft\/craft-observatoire-de-la-socio-ecologie\/\">l&rsquo;Observatoire de la Socio-\u00e9cologie<\/a> sur les enqu\u00eates \u00e9conomiques relatives aux avantages de l&rsquo;agroforesterie et \u00e0 la surveillance communautaire de l&rsquo;agroforesterie.  <\/p>\n\n<p
